We will talk about your teaching environment. I have a simple background that I change for seasons or holidays. It is a simple, clean and crisp background. You need to make sure that you have a quiet teaching environment. Try to have your own space for teaching. Lighting is also important. Some teachers have 2 or 3 lights so students don’t see the small shadows. If you get a more advanced camera you can adjust the lighting in your room with the camera. You need to shut off the sound notifications from Facebook etc. You need to make sure you are using a reward system to keep your students motivated.

Make sure you have some props to use in the classroom. Many teachers have different props based on the age of the student. Make sure you are very active in class to keep the students’ attention.  Try not to use so many props that it is causing you stress. Have a good balance that is good for you. Make sure you are using props when doing your introduction and your energy should be double of what it usually is. Don’t forget your notes. Take quick notes on their problem area. I only have 5 minutes between classes so I can get them done quickly. Don’t wait until the end of the day to do them.

There are many feedback software that you can use to do your feedback quickly and give you some good ideas to use. You are speaking so much during class. So it is ok to drink during class. Sit up straight and lean forward so you can focus on your student.
